World Gratitude Day

I feel like I have been so MIA lately.  I know you know how it is getting the school year up and running.  But, thanks to my sweet friend Mel From the Pond, I am reminded to step back and take a look and be thankful for everything great and good.

Today is World Gratitude Day.

World Gratitude Day is a day to share your thankfulness with and for others.

Recently, I shared this amazing video.  If you've seen it, it's definitely worth another look.  If you haven't...well, get the tissues.

So thankfulness and gratitude are the theme of the day...or maybe they should be the theme of every day.

So, I would LOVE to hear what is on your list of thankful thoughts.  Please leave me a comment below so that the rest of us may know what gives you and attitude of gratitude.

As for me, mine are simple, but precious.

So thankful for this sweet boy.  Oh, but my life would be dull and boring without him.
Cayden, I love you to the moon and back!

This is my truly amazing dad.  They really don't come any better than him.  Support and generosity are two of his strongest traits.  Dad, you know you are my hero.

This fabulous lady is my mom.  She is my biggest cheerleader and she is creative beyond belief!  I love you, Mom.

If you've read my previous posts, you know that even though sometimes I forget to be, I am thankful for every day.  Thankful for doctors and their knowledge that have allowed me to be here today.

See all this amazing-ness in one picture?  These are my girls.  They put up with me, keep me grounded and love me unconditionally.  Ladies, right back at ya!  So thankful to have you in my life!!

I am also thankful for my friends who "live" in my computer.  They keep me on a steady path, have taught me so much and are always there when I need an ear to listen or to give me a good laugh.  You know who you are Samantha, Cynthia, Laureen, Merinda, Christi, Karla, Wendy, Lesley, Martha, Mel, Teresa, Jennifer, Lacey, Michelle, Randi, Diane, Christina, Susan, Kathy, Patti, and Terry.
Your probably know them better as the staff of

Of course, I have to add in my job, my kiddos:  past, present and future.  Where would I be without this amazing job called teaching?  It truly is not what I do, but who I am.

Of course I am thankful for so many other things:  this great country where we live, the freedoms that we are provided, a home and all the materials possessions, and the beauty that surrounds us every day.

I am also thankful for YOU!
I'm not sure I know where I'd be without all of you.  Wherever you live, whatever you do, THANK YOU to each of you!

And while I am not one to usually share my religious views on here, I am so thankful for God who watches over all of us, never fails me and gets me out of more tight spots than I can count.  He has provided this beautiful life that I am so thankful to be living.

Since we are all thankful for our students having fabulous behavior, I have added a Clip Chart Freebie for you.  You can find it by clicking the picture below.

I'd love it if you could take a few minutes and list below some of your thankful thoughts.

After you do that, hop on over to my friend, Patti at a

for more gratitude.  AND be sure to continue hopping along, because
there are many more freebies to be had.

And, our sweet friend Mel from

has a VERY WONDERFUL prize for you to enter to win.

  2. What a great post. I am so very thankful for my two amazing, beautiful kids who bring me so much joy and happiness everyday. And I couldn't even think if being where I am today without my family. I am the youngest of 8 children, 7 girls and one boy, and we are so close and supportive of each other. They have been there for me through the think and the thin and I wouldn't be half the person I am today without them.
