I LOVE today's topic.  I cannot wait to go around and read everyone's top 3 Thankful Thoughts!

It was really hard to think of just 3.  I could have said health (SUPER thankful), happiness or even trials and tribulation (what doesn't kill you makes you stronger), but I decided to go with people.

So first up is family.  Ahhh!  Where would we be without them?  We have my fantastic kiddo, my hero dad and my amazingly talented mom.  I'm thankful for my family.

Second is this group of girls.  They are just a fantastic group of ladies.  Each one is amazing by themselves and together they are a powerhouse of humor, kindness, smarts and grace.  I'm thankful for Lauren, Jen, Caron, Melissa, Michele, Becky (and not pictures Ally and Laura).

Third is the fantastic group of ladies that live in my computer.  I cannot believe that a chance comment one day on Cynthia's 2nd Grade Pad FB page led me to this amazing group...and another powerhouse of friends.  I'm thankful for Kathy & Susan, Martha, Patti, Samantha, Michelle, Merinda, Christi, Wendy, Terry, Cynthia, Diane, Randi, Mel, Jennifer, Monique, Lacey, Laureen, Karla, Teresa, and Christina.
(I hope I got everyone!)  Plus, I am thankful for all of the other bloggy friends that I have met along the way.  You know who you are! ;-)

So, what are you thankful for?  I'd love for you to leave a comment and tell me.  :-)

Have you tried Interactive Notebooks?  Can I just tell you how much I love them?
So many reasons why...
  • It completely engages the kiddos.
  • It shows where you've taught the skills.
  • It allows students to take notes around the topic that you've taught.
  • It is easy to differentiate.
  • It allows your students to tap into their Multiple Intelligences.
  • It is simple to implement Kagan strategies when sharing the notebooks.
I wanted to share a newly listed FREEBIE with you in case you're interested in trying out Interactive Notebooks.  I mean for FREE, why not, right?
This is a really fun clock activity.
When the product is finished it should look like this:

My kiddos loved working with these.

YAY!  It's time for more fun with The Teaching Tribune!  Today is

I think that pretty much everything on here is known...except maybe my not so secret addiction to soaps!  LOL!  Can't believe my two faves are still on the air.  My mom watched Days when she was pregnant with me and my friends got me hooked on GH when I was in high school.  I don't tune in every day, but I watch enough to know what's going on.  Anyone else out there have a sinful, secret addiction?  LOL!

I teach -  Last year our school was part of the second year of implementing a new program in our district.  It's called the Accelerated Learning Model (ALM).  It was an amazing year, but I switched from first to second in order to do it, so I kind of felt that I was playing catch up this year.  Next year I am fortunate enough to be able to teach it again.  So excited!

I have - I think the hardest part on here was to write that my son is going to be in EIGHTH grade!  I did ask him the other day if he's seen this chubby-thighed little boy that used to run around here singing Kenny Chesney songs.  Boy, the years really do fly by!

I watch - Find me a good Law & Order marathon and I'm in!  Of course, I can barely stand to watch repeats, so my episodes are pretty limited. ;-)

I listen - My son is so trying to get me to like rap music, but it's usually country or popular music for me.

I read - I have Notice and Note and WBT on my professional reading list this summer, along with a few "just for fun" books.

I do - Yep!  Shopping!  Retail Therapy!  Enough said.

So that's it...that's me!  I'd love to "meet" you, so feel free to comment below about yourself.

Are you ready for a summer full of relaxation and rejuvenation?

So today I would like you to meet my wonderful friend Cynthia!  About a year and a half ago I noticed that Cynthia had been doing some pretty cool things on her TPT FB store and thankfully I asked her about it.  She invited me to team up with some other amazing and wonderful ladies.  They have been such a gift to me and because of them, I have "met" all of you.  I am so thankful for that day, because it really has changed my life in so many ways!

If you want to visit Cynthia's blog or her TPT store, you'll find plenty of teaching ideas for grades 2-3.

If you haven't already done so, grab a bloggy friend and hop on over to The Teaching Tribune and link up!
